Most patients understand that the nerves from our spinal column go to our arms, hands, legs and feet, which causes pain, numbness and dysfunction. However, what they don’t realize is that our nervous system from our spine also controls every organ of the body.
When pressure on our spinal cord takes place (called subluxation) it will affect the function of an organ or organs in our body. For example, a subluxated T6 can cause stomach problems, including gastritis and heart burn. Another example would be a subluxated T12-L1 causing constipation.
Organic problems can be helped by correcting the pressure on a nerve coming from our spine by properly adjusting the correct vertebrae. This removes the nerve interference, allowing the organ to function normally.
